Redeemer Church offers multi-generational community groups that meet weekly or bi-weekly in the homes of an individual or couple.  We see these groups as being the place where we can truly practice being the church to one another:  growing to know each other more deeply, caring for one another, learning from the work that God has done in each one of our lives, and encouraging one another to grow as members of God's family.

The format of each group is decided by the group themselves under the guidance of the group's facilitator(s), although almost all groups regularly share a meal together, followed by time sharing about our lives, discussing the Sunday sermon or a book (Biblical or spiritually significant), and praying for one another.

Community groups have a yearly rhythm based on the following timeline:
  • We have sign-ups for groups in early September each year, where the congregation can let us know the nights they are available to meet and then they are placed into groups which will meet in homes during the week
  • The groups remain closed through the fall in order to allow the members to grow into deeper relationship
  • In January, we open up limited registration based on openings in current groups, as well as sometimes forming new groups based on the number of people interested.  Then the groups close up again until the end of May
  • During the summer, we have alternating weekly opportunities for those who'd like to connect:  one week, we will have a book discussion group (usually a separate meeting for men and women, with childcare provided), then the next week we have an event called "Tacos & Topics" where we make a meal together and listen to a prepared talk on various topics (past events have covered issues ranging from immigration, religious liberty, evolution, views of hell, etc.)
  • These summer groups end in late August and we begin the cycle again!

Please contact the church if you would like to get more information, or if you are interested in joining a community group.
